SCLJ Directors, Hungarian Ambassador in Russia Discussed Religious Freedom Issues

Moscow - The way freedom of religion is observed in Russia and in the countries of Europe was discussed in a meeting SCLJ directors, Anatoly Pchelintsev and Vladimir Ryakhovsky, had with Arpad Sekei, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Russia.
The meeting took place during a reception held in the Embassy on October 19 to mark the anniversary of the national uprising of the Hungarian people in 1956 and declaration of the 3rd Hungarian republic in 1989.  Thus, the good tradition of cooperation between SCLJ and the Embassy was continued.

On a previous occasion, a meeting of a high-ranking Hungarian official in charge of religious affairs and representatives of the Russian Evangelical churches was organized by the SCLJ press center (link to the news piece needed).  The participants discussed and compared the respective policies of Hungary and Russia in the area of religion.
